About Shivanasamudra
At Shivanasamudra the Kaveri splits around an island and plunges as two separate falls—Gaganachukki and Bharachukki. After the monsoon the water fans out across wide rock shelves, while the dry months reveal the rock formations. It pairs naturally with the temple town of Talakadu and the Keshava temple at Somanathapura.
Highlights
- Twin falls of Gaganachukki and Bharachukki
- Best flow from August to November
