About Murudeshwar

Murudeshwar sits on a small headland on the Karnataka coast. Its huge seated Shiva statue and tall temple gopuram overlook the Arabian Sea, and a lift runs up the gopuram for views along the coast. From October to May, boats run to Netrani Island for snorkelling and scuba diving with licensed operators.
