About Meghalaya
Meghalaya’s plateau is one of the wettest places on earth, which is why it is so green. Khasi communities have grown living root bridges across forest streams for generations, and waterfalls such as Nohkalikai plunge into deep gorges. Shillong, Sohra, Mawlynnong and Dawki form the usual circuit.
Highlights
- Living root bridges
- Nohkalikai and Seven Sisters falls
- Mawlynnong village
- Dawki’s Umngot river
